Open Access Policy

The FORCE provides immediate Open Access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. By stating open access to the articles, in line with the definition of Budapest Open Access Initiativeit is meant that it is absolutely free of charge to “read, download, copy, distribute, print, search the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose” providing the proper acknowledgment of the authors and the citation of the articles. Such access is associated with increased readership and free dissemination of knowledge. The FORCE uses open source software, developed by the Public Knowledge Project, to help make open access economically viable, as well as to improve the scholarly and public quality of research.
